Kvarnen restaurant has been in the same place since 1908 – right in the heart of Södermalm, Stockholm. They came to us with the challenge to make that history and legacy come alive, in everything from table menu to website menu.
One of our main insights was that Kvarnen is not only the home of popular local team Hammarby, but the whole neighbourhood pub of Södermalm. Our goal was therefore to find the true essence of Kvarnen: traditional cooking, friendly atmosphere and a rich history built into the walls. We tried our best to let this shine through in the identity, and at the same time developed a social media strategy based on these insights. We turned back the time on our social feed and told the story of Kvarnen which developed into Kvarnen’s main communication strategy.
